The first steps of the operation take the civil guards to several houses that had been illegally occupied, some buildings from banks and real estate companies far from the urban center, where several people had entered and established themselves illegally.

The researchers verified that some of these houses, in addition to being used as a residence, had also been used for the illicit cultivation of marijuana, enabling sophisticated clandestine greenhouses capable of producing several annual harvests of several hundred cannabis plants, for which they also had illegal connections to the electrical supply.

The latest operations carried out in the area and other investigations allowed investigators to locate several hot spots for activities related to drug trafficking, mainly the illicit cultivation and subsequent manipulation of cannabis.

After obtaining all the necessary indications, prior judicial authorization, the Civil Guard has carried out the entry and registration in four occupied houses of Los Alcázares, in which it has dismantled four greenhouses dedicated to the illicit cultivation of marijuana, which at the time of the registry had about 500 plants in full production.

The searches culminated in the arrest of a young man who was caught while carrying out the work of taking care of the installation and cultivation, who is attributed the alleged responsibility of the crimes of usurpation of housing, fraud of electricity and against public health, for cultivation or manufacture of drugs.

In addition to marijuana, the Civil Guard has seized all the elements that made up the clandestine greenhouses dedicated to the production of cannabis, such as sophisticated lighting, heating, irrigation and ventilation devices.

The 28-year-old Spanish detainee, a resident of the town, the drug seized, the effects seized and the proceedings carried out have been made available to the Investigating Court of San Javier (Murcia).
