Antonio Zapata was appointed yesterday to this position with all the votes of the municipal plenary session in favor, to continue offering his knowledge in History and Journalism in favor of the municipality.

Zapata, born in 1978 in the eastern municipality of Mar Menor, has a degree in Geography and History from the University of Murcia, which led him to become a professor of these subjects in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia with destination in the Sierra Union Mining.In addition to being an investigator and with studies in Journalism, Antonio is part of the important associative fabric of the town, since he has been the president of the La Eco Cultural Association (LAEC) since its foundation in 2011, and a critical voice with data, to which many listen when he deals with issues such as the Mar Menor through the platform Pacto por el Mar Menor and ANSE of which he is a member.In his curriculum vitae many aspects of academic and cultural life stand out, among which are his co-authorship of the commented reissue of the book “Águilas y Garras”, by Ramón Franco, from the exhibition “La adventure del Dornier 15/16.
