The Los Alcázares Military Base plans to build a canal on its perimeter, where the wall was demolished after the floods.
This channel, 3 square meters wide, will be located in the base facilities, next to Avenida Libertad, and will connect with the existing address to the Fire Station, sending the water through that conduit.
It will also complement the work, the installation of a fence on a base that prevents the accumulation of rainwater and in turn reinforces the security of the military installation, and will also have 15 spillways of 1 meter each, where previously there had only been Four. Likewise, the City Council is continuing negotiations with the General Air Academy so that said perimeter construction for securing the fence is reduced to a minimum, and I have sufficient steps for water. The Los Alcázares City Council has coordinated with those responsible for this work at the base, the creation of this channel with the aim of facilitating the evacuation of water when there are episodes of heavy rain. For his part, the mayor of the municipality has commented that "it is essential for Los Alcázares due to the serious problem with floods, to take advantage of any resources and work that can be done to try to mitigate as much as possible the risks of flooding." Mario Cervera has also said that "as always, he thanks the coordination and collaboration of the General Air Academy with the Los Alcázares City Council to find necessary solutions."
