Four beaches of Los Alcázares will open to the bath starting next Friday, June 5 (03/06/2020)

Los Alcázares City Council held this morning the Beach Management Body, in charge of coordinating and implementing the necessary measures for the implementation of the municipality's beaches.

This body has been chaired by Mayor Mario Cervera along with technicians and councilors from Beaches, the Environment, Health, Police and Civil Protection. In this sense, it has been decided that the Espejo, Carril de Las Palmeras and Los Narejos beaches are ready for reopening to the bathroom after the paralysis of the COVID 19 health crisis.

On the other hand, the Manzanares, Carrión and La Concha beaches will continue to be closed to the bathroom with Red Flag until bathers can be guaranteed safety in the bathroom. Councilor Mario Cervera has said that "it is a priority for us to provide good service on the beaches, not only to revive tourism and offer quality to our neighbors, but to take care of our surroundings and continue to care about the state of the Mar Menor in the fight for its conservation ". For her part, the councilor responsible for Beaches has commented that "intense work is being carried out to recover beaches after the break caused by COVID-19, whose priority is the health of users, therefore they will be opened the beaches as the safety of bathing is guaranteed, "says Díaz Aragón.

He also added that "we are working despite the adversities in the implementation of both our beaches and the promenade to offer the best image of our municipality by carrying out different maintenance tasks such as algae removal, cleaning and smoothing of sand, street lamp painting and replacement of beach furniture such as benches and litter bins, lost with DANA ". Among the measures agreed upon by the Management Body are, in addition to the various beach maintenance tasks that are being carried out on a daily basis, the communication of prevention measures against COVID 19 through posters and public address systems, the increase in the workforce of Civil Protection auxiliaries, implementation of a beach gauging control system using the 112 mobile application or the immersion of volunteer divers to prospect the seabed, also scheduled for next Friday on some of the affected beaches that will continue to be closed at bathroom. At the moment, starting next weekend, you can enjoy four of the municipality's beaches, while the Government Team continues to demand the implementation of solutions by all the levels involved at the local, regional and state level in the recovery of the Mar Menor.
