A councilor of the PP of Los Alcázares joins the wave of musicians to cheer on their neighbors before COVID-19 (22/03/2020)

The alcazareño mayor Francisco Jorge Montesinos Saura, saxophonist, has decided to join the musical movement that is invading the balconies around the world to energize and make the confinement of his neighborhood more bearable

Since this crisis caused by COVID-19 began, and especially since the State of Alarm and confinement came into force, an unprecedented musical movement has been developing in Spain, Europe and the world.

People of all kinds who play musical instruments or sing, raise their blinds and from their homes or from their patios (without going outside, of course) delight us with excellent interpretations that make us more bearable this situation until now never lived.

This has also happened in the Murcian municipality of Los Alcázares.

Yes, it will ring a bell because that municipality was devastated by DANA in September 2019, being completely flooded and leaving its neighbors in a really complicated situation.

Their Majesties the Kings of Spain, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia went to the municipality to give their support to the people of Alcazar due to the seriousness of the events.

The Murcian municipality was still struggling to regain normality after the floods when this COVID-19 gives it a new challenge and forces all its neighbors (like the rest of Spain and other countries) to remain in their homes, confined.

But Los Alcázares and its people have proven to be made of a special paste.

They have shown that they are struggling people and that they know how to enjoy every moment despite the circumstances.

This has been demonstrated by the popular mayor.

It was on the morning of Sunday, March 22, when the popular councilor, Francisco Jorge Montesinos Saura, and other neighbors, from their patios and without leaving home, have taken their musical instruments playing various pieces while the neighbors applauded and were excited.

This concert has been in the Alcazareño neighborhood known as “aljibe coloraoâ€.

"It is essential that we have a good state of mind and the music helps us exponentially to achieve this.

It has been a true experience, "said the mayor.
