Los Alcázares retakes a historical claim to improve the sanitary service of the town, the competence of the CARM.

In this meeting, the councilor of Alcazar among the things raised has requested the launch of a Primary Care Emergency Service (SUAP), which is about providing a 24-hour service in Los Alcazares to respond to the population , which reaches more than 60,000 people at certain times of the year.

With the start-up of this service, as explained by the mayor, inequality in health care would be eliminated, given that there is a circumstance that visitors, technically named as displaced, are currently entitled to medical care until 9 pm : 00 hours, while Alcazareños from three in the afternoon are forced to move to neighboring municipalities such as Torre Pacheco and San Javier.

For this reason Cervera explains that "I consider it unfair that my neighbors are forced to go to other health centers and have no right to do so in their own municipality, therefore it is a situation to be resolved as a matter of urgency."

Expansion of Health Services in Los Narejos

On the other hand, the representative of the residents of Los Alcázares has asked the Ministry of Health to operate a Pediatric service in Los Narejos, to "decongest the existing one in Los Alcázares," said Mayor Pérez Cervera.

In addition to these issues, the mayor recalled that "in the draft regional budget already includes the expansion of the Los Alcázares Health Center for an amount of 180,000 euros offered by a physiotherapist or a dentist among others, and we have come to remember this important issue to make it happen, "said the alderman.
