So far, investigators have clarified five crimes
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation to clarify several robberies committed in the public streets of Los Alcázares, which has resulted in the identification, location and detention of two young people as alleged perpetrators of the crime of robbery with violence and intimidation .
After the investigation, which is still open, the civil guards have clarified, so far, five crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation committed in Los Alcázares, not ruling out that those now arrested are after the authorship of more criminal acts of similar characteristics.
The proceedings began last November, when the Civil Guard detected an increase in the commission of very specific crimes against heritage: robberies with violence and intimidation committed in several streets of the urban area of Los Alcázares against pedestrians.
The first investigations were carried out in the places where the facts were committed and with the victims and possible witnesses, all with the purpose of gathering all possible information on how to commit crimes and their perpetrators.
The authors of the events set their objective in pedestrians of Los Alcázares and as loot any valuables they carried at that moment, such as mobile phones and cash, as well as other personal effects.
Mainly they acted during the night, taking advantage of the darkness and the hours of less influx of people to avoid being identified.
They monitored people who were walking alone and once the viability of the robbery commission was determined, the perpetrators stalked the victims and materialized the theft by surprise and using violence until they stole the objects.
As a result of the investigation, civil guards specialized in Prevention of Citizen Security established the main line of investigation on two young people, of Maghreb origin and residents in the town, who were allegedly after the authorship of the facts reported.
Once all the necessary evidence was obtained, the Civil Guard established a search device on the suspects that has culminated in their location and detention, as alleged perpetrators of the crime of robbery with violence and intimidation.
The Moroccan detainees, 20 years of age and residents of Los Alcázares, and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of San Javier (Murcia).
