Mayor Mario Cervera and the people of Los Alcázares today received the director of Institutional and International Relations of State Lotteries and Betting, Manuel Gómez, and the solidarity and support of Lotteries when inaugurating, the traditional Christmas Sweepstakes tree that each year illuminates places of the Spanish geography.
With this action, Lotteries wants to show its solidarity and support with the locality as well as paying tribute to all those affected by the terrible floods that have occurred in recent months.
With the lighting of this tree Lotteries and State Bets brings a note of illusion to the inhabitants of Los Alcazares, who with hope and firm will recover from the tragedy.
On December 5 the town lived the first ignition and on this occasion Los Narejos will have its own with this special contribution, in which there will also be a chocolate and distribution of Easter flowers for all attendees at the end of the ignition.
The Christmas Lottery tree installed in Los Alcazares is one of the two trees that Lotteries releases every year.
Last year the tree accompanied the citizens of the Majorcan town of Sant Llorenç des Casdassar, affected by floods;
and in 2017, he moved to Chandebrito, one of the Galician villages most affected by the fires of that year.
Lotteries show, with this action, their firm commitment to remain alongside the citizens of our country when they need it most.
The rationale of the public company, since its foundation, is to provide, precisely, a social benefit to citizens.
The other Christmas Lottery tree this year opened today in Seville, on the occasion of the V Centenary of the First World Tour.
On the other hand, the councilor of Los Alcázares has commented that "companies and institutions are turning to Los Alcázares, and proof of this is this very emotional donation of Lotteries and State Betting to which we are greatly grateful since it gives us the possibility of decorate another area of the town also very important and that will help to encourage neighbors in such difficult times.
