The City Council of Los Alcázares through the Department of Celebrations will celebrate on October 12 the traditional Calderos, a Festival framed in the celebration of the Municipal Autonomy whose act will take place a day later, October 13.
This new edition has a special nuance due to the floods suffered a few weeks ago, so all scheduled events are at cost 0 for the City Council, and therefore for the Alcazareños, thanks to the solidarity of many people involved.
The government team has decided that this year "the cauldrons" will be held at the Municipal Sports Center because the beaches are not open to the public and does not have the necessary security conditions for the event.
This new location not only meets the requirements for space and conditioning, but also symbolizes the work that is being carried out for the recovery of Los Alcázares, and that this sports facility is located in the zero zone of the floods.
The City Council is in record time enabling the Sports Center and its environment to celebrate this important day of neighborhood coexistence that is so necessary for the people of Alcazar at this time.
There are many hard days and situations experienced in the municipality, therefore, from the government team they say that "it is necessary to offer the neighbors two days of de ï¬ ning respecting the tradition and trying to cheer up everyone's spirit."
The day of the 12th will be carried out as always by the elaboration of the traditional âcauldronsâ in charge of the clubs formed by the neighbors.
In addition, a giant cauldron made jointly by a company will accompany the rest of chefs and cooks to offer it to volunteers throughout the region who have helped in cleaning and other tasks during the floods, as well as to companies, institutions and NGOs` s who have collaborated with Los Alcázares and want to move to the municipality at its most important end.
In addition to the gastronomic part of the program, attendees will be able to enjoy live music from groups and artists who have offered to be part of this show for free and entertain the attendees.
The performances will consist of a DJ session, singer Salva Ortega, The Trax and the Guateque Club Bands.
On the 13th, the second and final day of these meetings will be held, in which the Institutional Plenary will take place, which consists of the delivery of the Al-Kazar Prize, which consists of paying tribute to several neighbors for different special reasons, as well as others. mentions
After the aforementioned tributes and the keynote address by Mayor Mario Cervera, the residents attending the event will be able to see the performance of the La Mundial Orchestra, which will also be free of charge for municipal coffers.
The mayor of celebrations, Jose Carlos Castejón has declared that "the decision to celebrate the big festival of Los Alcázares has been very thoughtful and we believe that the Alcazareños need these two days of coexistence after an event as sad as the one we have lived".
Castejón has insisted that âthanks to the solidarity of musicians, chefs, sound companies and other services, we can celebrate our traditional Festival of Municipal Autonomy without any cost to the City Councilâ.
For his part, Mayor Mario Cervera has commented that âwe want these two days to be special because Los Alcázares needs the neighbors to have fun and leave behind at least for a few hours the sadness for what happened and that we live celebrating our traditions to continue taking force to recover the municipality â.
Cervera, responsible in the City Council and representative in the municipality has affirmed that âthe delivery of the Al-Kazar Prize will be a very special and emotional tribute this year that will recognize the work of what is really important for the Autonomy and for me as mayorâ .
