Solidarity marathon of 48 hours in the UPCT for those affected by cold gout.
Students, teachers and Administration and Services Personnel (PAS) collect from 12:00 noon today non-perishable food and cleaning products and personal hygiene.
The products will be collected until next Friday at 12 noon at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
The collection points are: the Student House, and the councils of all the centers: Agronomists, Roads and Mines, Industrial, Naval, Telecommunications, Architecture and Enterprise.
This initiative is open to citizens who wish to collaborate.
Members of the university community, both students, professors and Administration and Services Staff (PAS) are participating as volunteers in cleaning tasks in different parts of the Region.
For example, the young Nuria Cuadrado, who starts this year as a university student in the degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering, has already had her first contact with the University as a volunteer.
Broom in hand, Square joined the dozens of volunteers who have been helping vacationers and residents of Los Nietos clean their mud and water houses.
"I will never forget what I have seen in Los Nietos. It is impressive. I did not think that the situation was so bad there, since the most talked about is Los Alcázares and Los Urrutias," says the young woman who lives in Alumbres and studied high school at IES Isaac Peral.
The University offers credits to students who certify their participation in the recovery activities of the areas affected by DANA (isolated depression at high levels).
The UPCT will also allocate the collection of the sale of solidarity shirts this year for the benefit of people affected by the floods that have ravaged the Region of Murcia.
Each year he dedicates this action to an organization of the environment: Fundación Tienda Asilo de San Pedro, Cáritas and La Huertecica, among others.
