The opening of a 24h Health Center in Los Alcázares is a historic vindication of the neighbors who see how their municipality is the only one of the Mar Menor that does not have this service so recognized and needed.
Despite taking great strides during 2016, such as the approval of this service in the Health Commission of the Regional Assembly at the proposal of the PSOE, the neighbors continue to go to the Health Center of the town at a reduced time, from 9:00 a.m.-15 : 00H, and the rest of the day forced to move to neighboring municipalities.
Last summer, after the celebration in the municipality of a Government Council of the Autonomous Community, the City Council and the Mayor, Anastasio Bastida, announced the extension of the health center hours in the afternoon for the month of September.
But the residents of Los Alcázares denounce that the extension of hours has not been implemented and are still obliged to move to all municipalities for important issues such as health.
According to Mario Cervera, PSOE Los Alcázares spokesperson, "it was another smoke bomb, Anastasio Bastida has not kept his word about starting up the Health Center in the evenings, as he announced to the hype and cymbal".
He recalled that "we are the municipality of the Mar Menor that has the worst service, we have a Health Center in a short time from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. since the Popular Party came to the Government."
"We demand the Ministry of Health and Anastasio Bastida Gómez to keep their word and start at least the Health Center in the afternoon."
