The City of Los Alcazares hosts the exhibition, "National Defense: The permanent adaptation of the Armed Forces" (30/09/2015)

The mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida and Colonel Director General Air Academy, Juan Pablo Sanchez de Lara yesterday inaugurated the photo exhibition "National Defence: Permanent adaptation of the Armed Forces", an exhibition for the first time, through computer graphics and photographs, the new structure of the Army, Air and Navy Spain to provide the best joint force that has ever had.

The coast of 36 photographs exhibition where you can see international missions in Bosnia, Mali, Afghanistan and Haiti, as well as images of the Military Emergency Unit, patrols and pilots of the Air Force, and patrol ships of the Navy and exercises Army training.

The Armed Forces are engaged in a permanent process of modernization and adaptation that starts in two specific milestones: the creation of the Ministry of Defence in 1977 and Spain joined NATO in 1982. Nearly four decades of evolution driven by profound changes in the global geostrategic reality.

At this time, the armies have gone from a deployment of a territorial nature whose sole mission was to ensure national sovereignty, to concentrate their units within a few points of the Spanish geography and, without neglecting its core business, become expeditionary forces capable maintained in several theaters of operations at once.

A change that began with the first mission abroad in 1989 and today is part of everyday military affairs.

The exhibition is located on the three floors of the Town Hall of Los Alcázares, will be open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 14 pm and weekends from 10 to 13 hours until next October 4.
