The mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida, accompanied by the Councillor for Employment, Francisco Mendez and Antonio Soler Monino, Regional Manager of the Construction Education Foundation, delivered yesterday diplomas Course of Occupational Hazards in Construction that has developed the Comprehensive Center for Social Services and Women of Los Alcazares and has lasted for 20 hours.
With this course, students will have obtained the Professional Construction Card, a tool closely linked to training in occupational risk prevention, which is available to all workers in the construction sector.
This tool also supports the industry experience, professional qualification and training received.
The objective of this course is to approach them and offer the valuable opportunity to learn preventive measures which leads them to ensure their own safety and health.
In this training have gained knowledge on the prevention of occupational hazards, preventive techniques, aids, equipment and tools, verification, identification, interference between activities, rights and obligations, Procedures in adverse weather conditions, emergency situations and during driving and health and safety signs
This free course, targeting the unemployed, has been organized by the Education Foundation of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Department of Employment of the City of Los Alcazares.
During the presentation of diplomas, the mayor explained that "recent accident data by sector, show a decrease in accidents in the construction sector, indicating a positive effect of the protocols on safety and hygiene. Therefore, courses like this, not only reinforce their safety at work, "he said.
