Los Alcazares has been the headquarters of the Bureau of Tourism, chaired by the president of the Community, Alberto Garre, the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Enterprise and Innovation and mayor of Los Alcazares, Anastasio Bastida, held at the Marina del Mar Menor .
Anastasio Bastida, thanked the Tourism Bureau has convened in Los Alcazares, while expressed his satisfaction with the historical data of tourism in the first half.
After the meeting the head of Murcia, the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Business and Innovation with the mayor of Los Alcazares, have made statements, which have indicated that the Region of Murcia is the second community that has grown more foreign tourists so far this year.
Anastasio Bastida, took the opportunity to highlight the increase in hotel occupancy in the city, this past July was 80 percent compared to 67 percent in July 2013.
The mayor of Los Alcazares, said that "the data are very positive and show a clear improvement in the economy and confidence" while stressing that the economic recovery is reflected in the very positive data.
Bastida, said that the City Council of Los Alcazares "are working all year to end seasonality, since in our town enjoyed all year round and excellent temperatures are a tourist town."
Finally, Anastasio Bastida thanked the Tourism Bureau has been conducted in the municipality, and in that sense, thanked the will of the Government to continue strengthening regional collaboration among all stakeholders in order to boost strategies that strengthen the tourism sector throughout the Region of Murcia.
