The Murciano Institute for Social Action (IMAS) has launched this year 18 new residential places for older people in the town of Los Alcazares.
Thus, the residence 'The Palm' has expanded its offering of concerted 14-26 seats, and the "Los Angeles" an agreement was signed to arrange six seats.
Moreover, this year also started operating eight new seats in the residence of older people 'Lozar', in the town of Santiago de la Ribera (San Javier), so it now has a total of 13 places residential.
The managing director of the IMAS, Leopoldo Navarro, CEO and Senior IMAS, Enrique Pérez, today held a meeting with users and professionals in these centers in order to exchange ideas and analyze its performance.
Specifically, these three municipalities have 174 seats in those accredited centers and 45 of them are arranged by the IMAS, with an investment of 1,308,115 euros and 69 places linked to residential service.
The goal is to provide comprehensive, individualized and tailored to the needs of individual users favoring that can retain their level of autonomy and psychomotor attention.
In this meeting with users and professionals, the manager responsible for IMAS and Older Director expressed the commitment of the regional government to continue providing quality care to the elderly and those in situations of dependency.
In this regard, they recalled that during this year, they IMAS has increased the number of residential places for older concerted 195 in different parts of the Region.
