Eight people have been arrested as alleged authors of the crimes of burglary in vehicles, homes and businesses
The arrested, without apparent links between them, were part of three criminal groups, two of them settled in the town of Los Alcázares

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'ALKAZAR', an investigation aimed at clarifying numerous robberies with force committed in the municipality of Los Alcázares, which has resulted in the arrest of eight people who are attributed the Alleged authorship of at least thirty robberies with force in vehicles, homes and shops of the coastal municipality.
The investigation began in November last year, after the Civil Guard became aware of the commission, continuously, several robberies with force in vehicles, homes and shops of Los Alcázares, facts that had generated some social alarm.
The first investigations allowed to verify that after these robberies was a group of people specialized in robberies with force that, supposedly, maintained certain vigilance in the municipality to address all types of buildings and vehicles, with the intention of 'getting' with easy objects of transport that could be sold on the black market with immediacy.
Civil guards specialized in the prevention of citizen security initiated a series of periodic devices, both surveillance and investigation, aimed at identifying the suspects who, apparently, acted in a coordinated manner to avoid being located and detained.
With the advance of the investigation, the agents determined that, although it was a group of individuals specialized in these criminal typologies, there seemed to be no connection between them, so it was suspected that several criminal groups could coexist, acting in the municipality of The Alcázares in a parallel way.
For two months, the agents obtained the necessary information that allowed the identification of eight people with a long history of crimes of the same nature, allegedly linked to the authorship of the robberies.
Three criminal groups with common objectives
La Benemérita has identified a couple suspected of acting on holiday homes, owned by foreign citizens, located in the Oasis urbanization, where they also had their domicile.
Apparently, they acted at dawn and carried out surveillance tasks to avoid the presence of neighbors in the area.
Three other people from Torre Pacheco have been identified as the alleged perpetrators of several robberies in shops and vehicles.
These moved from nearby municipalities, at dawn, perfectly organized to assault premises and cars, in such a way that in the same night they managed to commit several robberies, for which they did not hesitate to use forceful objects to violate doors and windows, which caused abundant and expensive material damage.
The last group identified two men and one woman had set their operations center in a building in the municipality, where they supposedly met to plan the robberies and used to store the stolen items.
Their main objective was vehicles.
Two months of research
The investigation work, developed by the Civil Guard for two months, in which evidence, testimonies and vestiges of the criminal scenes that incriminated the suspects in the investigated crimes, have allowed to stop, in a staggered way, eight people as alleged authors of at least thirty robberies in homes, shops and vehicles of Los Alcázares.
In addition, stolen effects such as a cash register, bottles of alcoholic beverages and small appliances that, once identified by their legitimate owners, have been returned to them have been recovered.
The arrested seven men and one woman, of Spanish and Moroccan nationality, aged between 18 and 38 years old, neighbors of Torre Pacheco and Los Alcázares, the recovered objects and the diligences instructed have been made available to the Court of Instruction of San Javier (Murcia).
One of those arrested has been remanded in custody and another of them, with penalties pending from his minority, in a youth reform center.
The operation 'ALKAZAR' has culminated with the dismantling of three criminal groups that, with a similar criminal pattern but of different idiosyncrasies, generated social alarm in the municipality of Los Alcázares to act continuously on vehicles, homes and shops.
So far, the alleged authorship of about thirty robberies is attributed to them.
The arrested, the recovered effects and the educated diligences have been put at the disposition of the Office of Minors of Murcia.
