The Plenary Session of the City Council of Los Alcázares approved at the proposal of the government team of the Popular Party, the reduction of Real Property Tax to the maximum allowed by the Adjustment Plan and the bonuses to large families according to their category.
Therefore, the proposal that was approved unanimously, agreed the freezing of the real estate tax, being the tax rate for urban soils of 0.725% and 0.90% for rustic, which will not increase the payment of taxes to any neighbor of Los Alcázares.
The bonuses that will benefit large families is approved in such a way that, for sections of cadastral value between 0 and 150,000, the bonus will be 60% for large families of special character and 40% for those of a general nature.
For the sections between 150,001 to 300,000 for families of special character, the percentage of bonus will be 35% and for the general 25%.
In the debate of the Plenary, the councilor of Finance, Cristina Sanchez said that "this freeze has been achieved after 6 years of intense work in which it has managed to turn around the economy of the municipality," he continued "we had a very bad time when we entered in 2011 and today we are proud to be able to freeze and subsidize the IBI ", he concluded saying that" the most important thing of this modification of fiscal ordinance, the alcazares do not pay more taxes ".
Anastasio Bastida, mayor of Los Alcázares, took the last round of interventions saying that "citizens should pay less taxes.
During the PSOE, taxes were raised with a municipal budget of more than triple what we have now, "he concluded, stating that" the important thing is that the citizen is benefited and that in the next few years the IBI will be reduced ".
