On Sunday August 28, 2016 a group of independent activists and various associations and groups among which the ANIMUR Federation, PAES Association, the Apa El Refugio, the Apa Refugees, the SDARM Association, the PachAnimal Free Association, the Association AUZEC and Garm will proceed to make a protest rally against the Circus Coliseo, currently installed in the Murcian town of Los Alcázares, particularly in the esplanade next to Mercadona.
The protest rally will start at 18: 00h, and ends at 22: 00h.
I wish to express our rejection and abhorrence towards circuses with animals because we believe that Circuses and funfair with animals have no place in a city that presumes of ethical values, because:
- Encourage the kidnapping and illegal trafficking of wild species, often endangered.
- Subject animals to a vexatious life imprisonment, suffering and extremely cruel practice.
- Lack of educational values ​​inculcated since lack of respect for nature and dignity of other living beings.
- Pose a risk to public safety by keeping potentially dangerous animals close to urban areas.
