Los Alcázares next weekend will become an outdoor museum with the Festival of Urban Art Museum Mar Menor (25/04/2016)

Los Alcázares host from April 29 to May 1 celebration of the First Festival of Urban Art Museum del Mar Menor in which more than 40 national and international artists, some dedicated to urban art for decades and is considered a benchmark in this discipline of contemporary art.

During the three days of the festival, the creators made murals and artistic interventions in the city.

The festival, whose programming concerts and aerobatics are included, was presented today by the Minister of Culture and the regional government spokesman, Noelia Arroyo, the Councillor for Tourism of Los Alcázares, Maite Olmos, and the founder and director of the Area plastic 'Company of Mario, Guillermo Arenas.

This new initiative, organized by the local council in collaboration with the cultural association 'The Society of Mario', "proposes to take art to the street promoting a more open, accessible and participatory culture," said Arroyo, who added that "the festival will help create links between artists and citizens and make known outside Spain the town of Los Alcazares and the Mar Menor, one of the main tourist referents now further enrich combining landscapes, beach and gastronomy with culture ", said the minister.

Arroyo stressed "the closeness of this festival that promotes arts education among young people, about culture through urban art, proposes a direct contact between artists, residents and visitors. Among the 40 artists participating in the festival, they include names that have become a benchmark, like the canary artist 'Sabotage the Assembly', which has over twenty years dedicated to urban art;

Madrid grafitero 'Sfhir', always immersed in exploring new tools and ways in art;

Mohamed Lghacham, Catalan designer whose work is between graffiti and fine arts;

the duo 'Pichi & Avo', known for his ability to create relationships between art, architecture, sculpture and social context;

'Man-o-Matic' and Dan Ferrer.

Among the international artists who will participate in this event include Luis Gómez, Latin American raised in Italy, whose work can be seen on the walls of London, Barcelona and Berlin;

French 'La Rouille', and Peruvian Danny Figueroa, established in Berlin since 2008 and known as 'Wesr'.

The festival of Los Alcázares has opted for an eclectic set of artists and varied that allow the public to visit the town between April 29 and May 1 know and enjoy the different styles and techniques of urban art.

On the walls of the town recognized works with young emerging creative artists mix.

Concerts

Following the philosophy of I Festival of Urban Art Museum del Mar Menor to take art to the street, the program will include live music in the streets and squares of Los Alcázares.
