The Community starts a direct bus between Los Alcázares and Los Arcos hospital (05/11/2018)

The service has three daily expeditions from Monday to Friday and adapts to the hospital's outpatient schedule

The Autonomous Community launches a new direct bus service between Los Alcázares and the Los Arcos hospital that meets the social demand, in order to improve the mobility of its neighbors with its reference hospital center.

The estimated duration of the trip is 30 minutes between Los Alcázares and the hospital.

There will be three round trips, from Monday to Friday.

The bus will leave from the Aluminios del Segura stop, in Los Alcázares, at 8:15, 11:00 and 15:00 hours and the return from the Los Arcos hospital will be at 9:15, 12:00 and 16: 00 hours

Eight stops have been established.

The new bus service is adapted to the hospital's outpatient schedule, which is the main reason for users to travel, and fulfills the commitment made by the president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, with the mayor of Los Alcázares, Anastasio Bastida , who moved these needs of the neighbors during the Government Council, held in July in the town.

The counselors of Development and Infrastructures, Patricio Valverde, and of Health, Manuel Villegas, and the mayor of Los Alcázares, Anastasio Bastida, presented today the new urban transport service with the hospital.

"Public transport is a social need of the first order and a necessary tool to access other public services, as is the case of health," said Patricio Valverde, who said that with this new bus line "we ensure that people can go more easily to health centers. "

Patricio Valverde indicated that the current configuration of the health system has been modernized in recent decades and transport has not adapted to par.

He noted that the new Transportation Master Plan of the Region of Murcia will design specific services and solutions to meet these demands, "so that there is full coverage and maximum accessibility of citizens to their health centers of reference."

For his part, the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, recognized the efforts of the regional government to improve every day more the accessibility of citizens to health centers and health services, and stressed the unique importance of this new service between Alcazares and the Los Arcos hospital.
