The Councilor for Sports, Nicolás Ruiz, the General Director of Sports, Alonso Gómez and the Secretary of the Los Alcázares Volleyball Club, Francisco Álamo, presented this morning the XIII edition of the Beach Volleyball Tournament 4X4 that will take place next Saturday at the municipality.
La Concha beach will be the stage where 24 male and 16 female teams will compete in the 4-on-4 modality, which will have 150 players and six fields.
In addition, in this edition the tournament has been extended and on Sunday morning, a parallel tournament will be held for minor categories, from juvenile to juvenile.
The secretary of the Club de Voley de Los Alcázares explained that "it is one of the few 4x4 tournaments that take place in the Region and therefore, players come from all over the region and from outside of it," he explained.
MORE THAN A HUNDRED THOUSAND OF ATHLETES IN LOS ALCÁZARES
The aforementioned Volleyball Tournament will coincide with the X edition of the Autonomous Mar Menor Beach Soccer Championship to be held on the beach of Las Palmeras and will gather 400 players from Murcia, Almeria and Alicante in its vast majority.
The Councilor for Sports explained that "we continue to bet on the promotion of sport, always thinking of a formula that combines tourism and sport," he said.
On the other hand the General Director of Sports, Alonso Gómez explained that "in Los Alcázares the sports work is accumulated, every week there are sports activities and as in this occasion, there are two great championships at the same time" he pointed out
